Huts of La Tremblade

Situated between two estuaries, opposite the island of Oléron, La Tremblade (4,623 inhabitants) lives from coastal fishing, oyster farming and tourism.

The symbol of the town: the oyster huts lining the channel. In order to revive the landscape, the town council has decided to rent out these huts and their moorings to yachtsmen.
